According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the public relations of the Cultural Center of Media and Social Networks, a book review meeting on the book ” Football Madmen” (The Real Football Factories) was held on Tuesday evening, December 7th, with the presence of Amir Hajrezaei, football expert and analyst, Pejman Rahbar, editor of Varzesh3 and Vahid Namazi, translator at the Cultural Center for Media and Social Networks.
In this meeting, the translator of the book referring to the subject of the book, which contains true shocking stories of the world’s toughest football fans, said: “This book is based on a documentary series whose authors had gone to 9 countries on two continents of Europe and America and studied the situation of football fans in these countries.
He added: “While translating this book, I watched that series many times, which helped me a lot in translating.” I have mostly tried to be a narrator in order to be a mere translator and translate the book in a way that conveys the way the senses are written, which has happened in the dialogical sections of the book in an interesting way.
He reminded: “In this book, we encounter football fans who are the leaders of criminal gangs and the commanders of war crimes such as the war in the Balkans.” I added the footnotes to the book myself so that non-soccer players with little knowledge of the field can relate to the work.
In this meeting, Haj Rezaei also focused on the effects of football on creating tension and reducing and resolving tensions and disputes between the two countries, and said: “Football is one of the categories that can be reduced by its power, which diplomats can reduce.” International tensions are not able to do that, and in this regard, we have seen cases in reducing these international tensions, in this regard, we can mention the disputes between Turkey and Armenia. When I read this book, I saw that football is related to all fields. The writers risk their lives on a horrific trip to different countries and show behind the scenes of football.”
This football expert and analyst stated: This book purifies Iranian football in a way, when we look at how noble and calm football fans are, compared to such fans that exist in other countries.
Haj Rezaei said: “Before, we had books in the field of football that only dealt with topics such as football education and we did not have books in terms of social analysis, psychology, etc., but today we are happy with the efforts of translators such as Vahid Namazi and Adel Ferdosipour. We also have that their place was empty and it is the need of the society.
He added: “Football Madmen is a book to be read and recommended, and I consider it necessary for members of society to read this book.”
Pejman Rahbar also stated in the book review meeting of “Football Madmen”: The basis of this book is formed on the basis of football dipoles and we see this issue throughout this book.
Asked why the book did not address the role of the media in motivating football fans, he said: “This book is about the period of the 90s and 2000s, and I feel that the subject of the fans is such that the authors They have preferred to pursue this issue independently of the media debate.
The editor of Varzesh3 website said: “I suggest that a book be written about our country’s football fans, and that advocacy as a profession is an interesting topic that can be addressed.”
