In the winter of 2023, Divar Publishing, a new member of the Cheshmeh Cultural Family, released a distinctive book titled “Facing Change”. Originally published as “How to Think Like Sir Alex Ferguson” by Damian Hughes and translated by Vahid Namazi, the book was launched and discussed at a cozy gathering on a chilly winter afternoon at Cheshmeh Kargar Bookstore, attended by enthusiastic readers and book lovers.

The event, hosted by Shaghayegh Jahromi, featured prominent figures including Ali Aali, a distinguished sports journalist, and Dr. Hossein Khatibi, a renowned psychologist. The session began with the translator, who spoke about the author, the book’s themes, and his reasons for choosing it for translation. Namazi shared insights on the significance of embracing change across all business sectors, drawing examples from his own experiences in commercial management and leading various companies.

Ali Aali, one of Iran’s most notable sports journalists, praised Namazi’s thoughtful selection of the book and highlighted the exemplary character of Sir Alex Ferguson. He described Facing Change as an essential guide for managers across industries navigating professional transformations. “When you work in a highly competitive and demanding field like football, you must constantly confront change and its impacts,” Aali remarked. “Similar ongoing challenges exist in everyday life and in managing businesses, large or small. Through references to Ferguson’s professional journey, Hughes provides a precise roadmap for tackling these constant changes.”

Dr. Hossein Khatibi, a prominent figure in psychology on social media, elaborated on the book’s key themes, emphasizing the importance of mindset and adaptability. He described readiness for continuous change as a defining trait of the modern individual.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where attendees posed questions to Namazi and the panelists, fostering a warm and interactive dialogue with the translator and received his signed copies of the book.
